9 pounds and 5 ounces

We are so in love and so very thankful.

 

We have enjoyed a restful couple of weeks and I'm  thankful I'm starting to feel like myself again.

I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving.

Happy Birthday Willen

This is the first time I saw my son. 

The first time I felt his warm, wet skin against mine. The first time I heard his piercing cry.The first time I could see the beautiful features of the baby I had been carrying for nine months.

Nothing in the world could prepare me for how much this little boy would fill my heart with joy. I truly had no idea the blessing he would be and had no clue as to the amount of love I could have for him.

It's strange that something can seem like forever ago, and at the same time like just yesterday. First nights awake, first naps, first baths, first everythings. Then came first words, first steps and a world to explore.

And today you turned four. 

The firsts continue: being a big brother, riding a bike, going to school.

I can't wait to see what the next year brings.

You will always be my beautiful boy.

A Happy New Year

 

I have spent a great deal of time thinking about what I would like to write about in my first post after a year away.

 

Quite simply, there could be nothing I would be happier doing than to introduce you to the newest addition to our family.

 

Hudson Samuel Heikoop was born on the 18th of July weighing a healthy 10lbs 5oz.

 

He is gorgeous. I am completely taken by him. And I can't possibly imagine how we ever did without him.

Willen is in love with him. Especially now that he is more social.

 

 

He is rolls and rolls and rolls. So perfectly chubby.

And, there has been another wonderful addition to our family. I am a proud Aunt to this gorgeous little boy - Levi Robert Oblak borm the 14th of December.
