Every time I drive through the valley, down the escarpment, I notice this stately home being built. It's in the middle of the valley, surrounded by old apple orchards and rolling fields.
I finally just decided to drive past and have a proper look.
There are homes continually being built in our area, some of them just as grand as this. However, I always feel as though they all look the same. All of similar style with the same colours.
This one however is quite different from the rest. For one, it's white. It's also much more traditional in design. And despite it's size, I think it's beautiful. I'm very much a fan of a Colonial-style home, with it's perfect symmetry. I think this particular design is timeless.
I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with the grounds.

i just drove past that home last weekend. it is massive! it looks like they are putting a long sweeping drive in from the left side of the property as well. wonder what they do??

ReplyDeleteI love the look of that majestic abode. I'm also a fan of the colonial-style of residential architecture and I also envision myself living in such a house, one day. Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures, by the way. Wishing you all the best!
