Easter Celebrations

While we had a lovely weekend celebrating with family, we celebrated our risen Saviour, and His perfect love for us. And right now, I don't even have words for all of that, but this song has just stayed with me all weekend, as a sort of anthem of victory. It's titled Man of Sorrows by Hillsong.

Man of sorrows Lamb of God, by His own betrayed
The sin of man and wrath of God, has been on Jesus laid

Silent as He stood accused, beaten mocked and scorned
Bowing to the Father's will, He took a crown of thorns

Oh that rugged cross, my salvation, where Your love poured out over me
Now my soul cries out, Hallelujah, praise and honour unto Thee

Sent of heaven God's own Son, to purchase and redeem
And reconcile the very ones, who nailed Him to that tree
Oh that rugged cross, my salvation, where Your love poured out over me
Now my soul cries out, Hallelujah, praise and honour unto Thee

Now my debt is paid, it is paid in full
By the precious blood, that my Jesus spilled

Now the curse of sin, has no hold on me
Whom the Son sets free, oh is free indeed

Oh that rugged cross, my salvation, where Your love poured out over me
Now my soul cries out, Hallelujah, praise and honour unto Thee

See the stone is rolled away, behold the empty tomb
Hallelujah God be praised, He's risen from the grave

Happy Easter.

  4. Hi Maria , Your blog is so beautifully done. I have never made a comment and thought I would , less you think no one is out there! I always look forward to your posts, they are just right. Your Easter comments... spot on. It's a quiet, beautiful blog. Do you happen to read The Assortment Blog, she could be your twin , in writing style.

    1. Karen,

Thank you so much for sharing this with me. I have been so inspired as I've read through her posts. (I think my husband is tired of hearing about it)

I love finding other bloggers who I feel like I connect with; who share the same interests and desires and who inspire me.

      Have a lovely day,
      Maria
