This week's beauty bit is actually an entire line of products. The collection is TOKYOMILK by Margot Elena. It's an entire line because it's simply impossible to not include a little bit of everything. It's been feautred in everything from Elle to Country Living, from InStyle to House Beautiful and is available in countless stores accross the country.
The "objects of desire" include parfum, cosmetics, body luxuries, candles, stationary and other "curious things". A unique collection of fragrances, the eau de parfums come in pretty glass bottles and the petite parfum solides come in tiny tins. The lip balms are made from sunflower seed oil, beeswax, vitamine E, aloe vera and shea butter - all promising moist, luscious lips. The soap collections are triple milled, enriched with shea butter and contain only the finest parfumes. The "chattering bubbles" promise a sumptuous soak. The olive and avocado oil, Japanese green tea extract and vitamine E will leave your skin silky smooth and moisturized. Along with the beauty products, the line offers a range of hand-glittered stationary, travel candles and pocket mirrors.
I don't know what I love more; the surprising combination of scents or the beautiful packaging? Each product is adorned with other-worldy art, old-fashioned photos and apothecary-style prints. Images of beautiful botanicals, petit fours even french lessons grace their wrappings. Quotes from Marie Antoinette and sheet music take something as simple as bars of soap to lavish levels. That's why TOKYOMILK is this week's beauty bit.

Wow! Just found this blog by fluke but totally LOVE it! You have such a way with words! PS: now on the hunt for distressed shutters. Keep the blogs coming :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm so glad you're enjoying it. There's a lot more to come.
ReplyDeleteAs for the shutters, I'm planning on having a Tag Sale in September and I have a few different shutters that will be included in that sale. I will post the details of the sale closer to the date.
Part of the fun of buying things like scented candles and scented bar soap is the smelling of it. We all love the smell of things that smell good to us.
